Vogue v2962 Silk Dupioni Gown

Made for a wedding....this pattern was wonderfully easy to sew. And I loved working with the silk! My client is just stunning in this gown.

I love this wiggle dress....it was fun to make and wear. I made a belt in the last view...I used a interesting ribbon and a Italian belt buckle.

Eskandar....inspired me

Went to Niemans on lunch today....saw some of Eskandar pieces....so...instead of plunking down the $1450 on certain pieces....I decided to recreate them for a mere fraction of the cost.

I made a tunic by shortening the pattern by Four inches....will be great to wear over Jeans...leggings...or a pencil skirt.

I just loved how this dress made up....it is so feminine and I added the waist detail which really completed the look.  Naomi loved it. 

Two vintage dresses

Here is a picture of Naomi and I with our vintage creations....they were a delight to wear....we got a ton of compliments.

Black taffeta dress

I love this dress.....I wore it with a cardigan and paired it with a red leather belt.  Very figure flattering.

4 vintage dresses

I completed all Four if theses dresses in less than a month.  The black dress is 100% silk taffeta....the next two are 100% silk with silk screened prints....and the last dress is a combination of silk and cotton.  They were a delight to make and wear.    I will post some pictures of us wearing  them.

I knew this pattern looked familiar......I bought ths original one on Ebay...jan 2012....and when I went to Joanns Fabrics tonite....this v8789 was there......the measurements are different....and the types of yardage

Just made a new batch....I used to hand paint them...but it became too tedious....so now I use my husqvarna designer one to make them.
Use 5/8" to 7/8"  grosgrain ribbon....and nice embroidery thread.
